RECENT EVENTS
May
10- Shadowbrook Jumpers-
Six
URC kids and adults braved the rain Saturday morning at Shadowbrook.
Ashley took baby Mystic on her first outing where she was very
brave! Brooke and Hammer jumped around the 2'3-2'6 classes for Grand
Champion in the division. Natalie and Arizona jumped around the
2'6-2'9 division for Grand Champion while Maggie and Koala Blue jumped the
same division for Reserve Champion. Carrie and Saucy jumped the 2'
division for 2nd and 5th. Sandy and Hunter jumped the 2' division
for 1st, 3rd and one I don't remember :-) Fun with the URC gang,
finally getting the big rig pulled out of the mud and peach pie made my
day!
April
20- Swan Lake Jumpers-
Five
URC kids went but only two braved the heavy rain, sleet and thunder storms
to compete. Rachel was 1st and 2nd in the 2'3s and Bri was 2nd
and 1st in the same division... and no, they were not the only ones out
there :-) Eight people braved the weather to give Rachel and Bri
some competition!!!
April
16-19- Culpeper HITS-
Seven
of us headed down to Culpeper to enjoy a week of sunshine and great
jumping. Annalee and Splash had a great show at level 2 and captured
the Reserve Champion at level 1! Jessie and Hunter jumped the level
2s and won a 2nd in the level 1. Nicole and Tucker had fantastic
trips around the level 1s and even level 2 but Tucker is still working on
the speed and turns :-) Ashley and Fred jumped around the level 2s
for a 3rd and the level 3s for a 4th. Niqui and Lion somehow (still
not sure how :-) managed to win Reserve Champion at the level 4s. Betsy
and Midnight Moon jumped around the level 1s for a great first rated show
together and Hailey and P-Nut jumped the level 2s for a 7th. Great
job guys!!!

13 Columbia Jumpers-
Nine
of us showed at Columbia's packed competition. Ashley & Fred
were Reserve Champion in the 3'3s. Jessie & Hunter were
5th in the 2'9-3'0 and
Annalee & Splash were 3rd in the 2'9-3'0. Maggie, the birthday girl won a 3rd in the 2'3s out
of 30 people and won two 5ths in the 2'6s. Kristin and Irish bounced
back well from the ride & tie the previous day but are still making
the big turns in the 2'6s. Kaleigh & Bu won a 5th in
the 2'3s. Chelsie &
Jibberish ran around the 2'9s..
Off to the HITS we go!

12- No Frills 15 mile Ride & Tie-
Two
URC teams competed in the steep and rocky ride & tie in Star Banner
VA. The storms Friday night gave way to a GORGEOUS day as runners
and riders made their way through the beautiful woods and grand views of
the George Washington National Forest.
